One beach,
two arenas
The Beach Arena is the main competition floor with grandstands on both sides. The Lighthouse Arena at the north end takes the finals and the award ceremonies. Between them sit the Warm Up Area and the Vendor Village.
Athlete Check In is next to the Vendor Village. Swim events start straight off the beach at the Swim Area — the Baltic is part of the competition, not a backdrop.

Load map Open in Google Maps insteadThe S-Bahn runs from Rostock Hauptbahnhof straight to Warnemünde station, from where you walk along the Alter Strom to the lighthouse. On a competition weekend this is by far the easiest way in — exact timetable via bahn.de.
Take the A19 to Rostock, then follow the signs to Warnemünde. Warnemünde is a dead end in August: the closer you get to the beach, the slower it becomes. Leave yourself a buffer on Saturday.
Rostock-Laage (RLG) is the closest airport. Hamburg (HAM) and Berlin (BER) have far more connections and work well by train from there.
Parking & entry
Use the P+R and beach car parks in Warnemünde. They are paid and they fill up early on Saturday — arrive well before the first heats, or park in Rostock and take the S-Bahn in.
Free. There is no ticket, no entry fee and no registration for spectators — the arena sits on the public beach and stays open all three days.
Athlete Check In sits next to the Vendor Village, between the Beach Arena and the promenade. Check-in times go out with the athlete guide.
The Vendor Village and the restaurants along the promenade cover the whole weekend. Bring a refillable bottle — it is a beach, keep it clean.
